Frequently Asked questions

What's Included in a Consultation?

During your consultation with our Registered Nurse, you’ll receive a comprehensive facial analysis and a personalised discussion of treatment options tailored to your needs.

Are There Any Side Effects with Dermal treatments?

Common side effects may occur within 24 hours or immediately following treatment, including swelling, bruising, redness, and tenderness.

How Soon Can I Get Cosmetic Treatments Before or After a Vaccine?

We recommend a minimum of 7 days before or after receiving a vaccine, such as the Covid vaccine.

What Should I Do Before Treatment?

To reduce the risk of bruising, avoid vigorous physical activity and excessive alcohol consumption 24 hours before treatment. Refrain from taking Aspirin and Vitamin E one week before the procedure. If you take them for medical reasons, consult with your GP.

How Long Is the Treatment Time?

Depending on the specific treatment, the procedure typically takes anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes. Your cosmetic practitioner can provide more precise guidance.

What Is PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)?

PRP is a natural treatment that utilises your own blood to enhance skin health and reverse the signs of ageing as well as hair restoration. It stimulates collagen production, improves skin elasticity, and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. Results are noticeable within a week or two and continue to improve over six months.

Am I the Right Candidate for Injectables?

We strongly recommend an initial consultation with our Registered Nurse to discuss your unique needs, as each individual’s requirements vary.

What Dermal or Wrinkle Reducing Products Do You Use?

Due to Australian regulations, we cannot disclose the brand names of prescription medicines like Dermal and Wrinkle reducing products. However, during your complimentary consultation, your Registered Nurse can provide detailed information about the premium, market-leading options available to you.

Do Dermal Treatments Cause Skin Sagging?

These treatments do temporarily stretch the skin to fill tissues, but they do not have a long-lasting effect on the skin itself. The skin returns to its original state as the product metabolises.

How Long Do the Treatments Last?

Wrinkle reducing treatments begin to show results 1-2 days after the procedure, reaching their full effect within 7-14 days. Typically, effects can last for up to 3-4 months, varying from person to person. Dermal treatments can last 3-6 months or longer, depending on individual metabolism. For areas with high activity like the lips, results may vary.

Can I Fly After Dermal Treatment?

We recommend avoiding international travel for at least 2 weeks after your treatment.

Can I Get Treatment If I Am Pregnant, Breastfeeding, or Trying to Conceive?

No, as there is no research to support the safety of cosmetic treatments during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or while trying to conceive, we do not offer these treatments in such cases.
